Konamis Gewinn steigt um 245 Prozent
Metal Gear Solid Peace Walker bringt den Quartalsüberschuss auf umgerechnet 3,2 Mio. Euro.
Konami hat im zweiten Quartal des Geschäftsjahres mit Abschluss zum 30. Juni beim Gewinn kräftig zugelegt. Der Quartalsgewinn beläuft sich auf 367 Millionen Yen (rund 3,2 Mio. Euro), was ein Plus von fast 245 Prozent zum Vorjahr ist. Der Umsatz fiel allerdings um fünf Prozent auf 53,1 Milliarden Yen (ca. 470,3 Mio. Euro).
Für den Geschäftsbereich Digital Entertainment, zu dem neben den Spielhallengeräten und Kartenspielen auch das Videospielegeschäft zählt, meldet Konami stagnierende Umsätze. Die Division setzte im Quartal 25 Milliarden Yen um (ca. 221,3 Mio. Euro).
Mit Computer- und Videospielen machte Konami einen Umsatz von 14,3 Milliarden Yen (ca. 126,62 Mio. Euro), verglichen mit 9,8 Mrd. Yen im Vorjahresquartal. Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker hat dabei die PSP-Umsätze nahezu verdoppelt und machte 40 Prozent der insgesamt 4,62 Mio. verkauften Spiele aus.
