Age of Conan: Funcom stellt auf Free2Play um
Nach Dungeons & Dragons und Der Herr der Ringe wird auch das einstige Abo-Rollenspiel Age of Conan eine kostenlose Spieloption enthalten.
MMO-Publisher Funcom hat angekündigt, für das ursprünglich auf einem Abo-Modell basierende Online-Rollenspiel Age of Conan eine Free2Play-Option anzubieten.
Ähnliches hatte Turbine, Hersteller von Der Herr der Ringe und Dungeons & Dragons, bereits in der Vergangenheit durchgeführt und nach Unternehmensangaben den Umsatz durch Mikrotransaktionen vervielfacht.
Die Free2Play-Option soll noch in diesem Sommer eingeführt werden, um von dem geplanten Conan-Kinofilm profitieren zu können. Das Spiel soll Age of Conan: Unrated umgetauft werden.
