Die US-Site von Amazon hat den Veröffentlichungstermin des PSP-Nachfolgers PS Vita mit dem 31. Dezember 2011 angegeben. Das vorbestellbare Gerät ist auf den anderen internationalen Sites bislang noch nicht mit einem Releasetermin ausgelobt. Auch von Sony selbst fehlen bislang konkrete Lieferdaten.
Erste Start-Titel für PlayStation Vita wie ModNation Racers, Uncharted: Golden Abyss oder Little Big Planet werden zwar zur Vorbestellung angeboten, jedoch noch ohne Liefertermine.
In Deutschland liegt PlayStation Vita immerhin aktuell bereits auf Rang 227 der Multiformat- und Hardwarecharts; in den USA auf Rang 59.
