Von den zehn Milliarden Android-Apps sind mit einem Anteil von mehr als einem Viertel Spiele die beliebteste Kategorie.

Google hat den Anteil der Spielesoftware ihrer zehn Milliarden App-Downloads im Android Market jetzt mit 2,56 Milliarden beziffert. Laut Google verteilen sich die Genres wie folgt: Arcade & Action (39,25 Prozent), Brain & Puzzle (22,08 Prozent), Casual (17,68 Prozent), Kartenspiele (7,31 Prozent), Rennspiele (7,27 Prozent) und Sport (6,41 Prozent).

Zu den weiteren beliebten Kategorien außerhalb der Games zählen Unterhaltung (12,2 Prozent), Tools (7,27 Prozent) und Kommunikation (6,45 Prozent).
